Scott, Stan at the Hod Shop here in town has always mounted mine. You met him last year when we were hunting for parts to fix your Mustang. I'm on my way there right now anyway, and I'll check with him about mounting your slicks if you will need it. I'll get back to you.

I'am jealous

 

Hopefully all the water in Wisconsin doesn't affect anything down there, Great Lakes Dragway is impossible to get in or out of. The highway and entrance are under two feet of water. More rain up here for tonight, some area's have had over 8 inches already.

 

Loaded our swap meet stuff and gassed up. If you see us in the swap meet come say hi we are driving this.

A/C been cranking in my shop for 2 days. Working in and on the trailer on the other hand....

 

Wanted to make it this year but life got in the way. Safe travel wishes to all.

 

Balancer on and radiator back in. In the box. On to tomorrow's list which hopefully is done in time for a nice supper and an early bed time...right, fat chance that shit happens. I'm sure the wheels will fall off of something tomorrow! Safe travels everyone.

 

All loaded up. Headed to dad's in the AM when I get off work and hitting the road. West Bound and Down!!!! See every one there, and SAFE TRAVELS!!!!

 

Made it and set up. Only encountered two closed roads. Took hwy 50 to 43. That was open. Kr and the next few roads south were flooded out.

Replaced master cylinder and driver side rear wheel cylinder, then had to remove the hood scoop to make room for
air cleaners.

Going to be great to see every one again, please take care for a safe trip.

Bringing along 3 more guys this trip, hope to arrive around noon Friday.

We drove 300 miles and we are staying in Paducah Kentucky tonight

 

Well after having to stop by the parts store 15 min from the house so we could put a new fuel pump on Kevin's 57 wagon in the hot ass parking lot because he hasn't replaced it since yesterday lol stupid junk ass parts it's now about 2 am and we are well into Illinois so we should have a easy drive on in and be there by noon

Quick breakfast then back on the road again.


We made a quick pit stop late last night at Saltflats shop...saw the 409 coming off the jack so she is ready. So before we left Republic I googled how far to Byron....the nice Google Lady said 7 hours (or so). After driving nearly three hours north to Jefferson City to see James I did the same thing...the "Google Whore" said 6 hours (or so) to Byron....what in the wide world is going on! Lol

Guess what, I have another question
If we get up there Cavan we come by the track and hang out for a littler while?
I f so what will the cost of admission be?
We aren't going to start camping till tomorrow.

 

...this is probly the only time more people are comin into Illinois than leaving,...thanks to the Meltdown crew.

 

Don't say that too loud the sunzabitches will impose a goddamn meltdown tax after forming a special task force to investigate it and then a special review board to analyze the findings and a special committee to vote to impose the tax and what percentage will be allocated into the special interest fund "grab bag ".... all at the expense of the taxpayers that haven't already left the great state of Illinois....... sorry ,was I ranting?

 

When they see my car they will probably stop me at the border.

 

Don't worry , it's the weekend and per usual 1000's of IL people will still be headed north to north Wisconsin. For once we're just trying to balance it back out.
