Ok, there's this poster hanging behind our downstairs toilet, so I get to look at it often. It's a shot of my wife from her modeling days (no, I'm not kidding), but what keeps bugging me is the sticker on the windshield of the car. It appears to be period to the car, but neither of us has ANY idea what it's from. All she knows is that the photo shoot was in New York. Under the circle, it says "Dream Car" in art-deco and script type lettering, and under that is the word "Import". That's all that's legible on the poster, so you're not missing anything in this pic. What kind of car is it, and what the HELL is that sticker from? Prizes? We don't got to show you no steenking prizes!
wait you gotta pic of your wife kissing another dude hanging on your wall??????? judging from the bad angle of the pic the chrome trim and th door lock look to be a possible 57 ford but the rain gutter and vent window look to be gm
Like this... http://www.dreamcars.co.uk/ If so then they are on here as Battersea boys, and have been importing classic American cars into the U.K. for over 30 years. They also supply vehicles to the TV, movie and advertising industry.
The car looks like Peter Falk's "Columbo" Euro car, meaning 2-dr cpe., no wing window, curved windshield frame.
Possibly removed for the shoot - happens in movies and TV a lot. Can somebody with a '57 Chevy take a quick shot of it from the same angle and see if it matches?
