Can someone tell me if i can run progressive linkage with a Weiand WC4D 4X2 intake for a sbc,or do i need to run straight linkage. Thanks for any info
My understanding is that you can run progressive linkage. I am getting ready to run one of these and the reason I did was because it was able to be progressive and therfore streetable.
I'm not sure if you can, I'll check mine tomorrow, if I'm remembering correctly (which isn't always the case!) The carbs feed only two cylinders per carb, I don't think they are all connected which would mean in a progressive set up, you'd be starving cylinders for fuel. Let me check tomorrow before I type any more...
It would depend on the style of the manifold. While I have not seen an inline 4x2 for SBC; if one exists, progressive linkage would be possible. If it is a conventional four corner design, then solid linkage is desirable. Jon.
Weiand made a progressive linkage setup for this intake, and I've got one. It's not for sale, but I could take a couple pictures of it if you wanted them for reference.
I have seen it done and it worked perfect. It was on a T roadster a few years back at the fathers day roadster show/swap meet. I think the car was featured in Hop Up.
Hello..Yes, it can run progressive linkage. You will need shaft extenders (2). run the two inside ones as primary and the front and back as secondaries.. If you need help pm me.. Happy New Year Duane.
