These pictures are from insurance salvage auctions.
Wow, a lot of sad stories there.
I think I'll curl up in a ball now.
those beat the batch i saw on coparts site last winter.....crispy critters
This thread will have lots of additions I'm sure, the '32 Tudor on the Coupe thread is one that comes to mind.
The Ford in the middle looks like it flipped?
Oh the humanity!!
That old sheet metal does not crumple well.
At least they are for sale.
Have some balls...
Pick them up and fix them.
That'll buff right out.
You just ruined my day.
he beat me to it
They'd make swell R__ R__s
If they can fix ROBOCOP they can fix anything..
Heck..if those were close to me and getting parted out..i would be all over that
yeah, that sucks. you got to be extra careful out there when driving..there are a lot of bad drivers. i blame it on the poor drivers education system we have, here in MN it's 5 hours behind the wheel and a test. we need to raise the bar for people who get a drivers license. and a lot of drivers are also distracted with cells phones , i- pods , GPS , etc
my `36 was almost added to that group twice last Saturday...i swear that woman in the VW jetta that came into my lane missed me by only 3 inches
A good reason to insure your vehicle to the max and if your in FL have non-insured motorists coverage too. 1/3 of folks here don't have insurance.
read the fine print on your non insured coverage policy. It almost never covers your car, just personal injury.
Back to the regularly scheduled program.
And they do it ON PURPOSE because they -KNOW- you dont want your car to end up like those in the pics, you'll give way!!!
Reminds me of a book I got recently called "Wrecks" all pix of car wrecks form the 40s, 50s, and 60s.
I think the caddy was in rebel rodz last month!
a few more
ouch that vette got hammered. such a shame......................john
A little duct tape on the blue cobra and you're good to go!
Ouch. A friend of mine just finished his mild custom 49 shoe box he spent years and $ building.i did the body work and told him to fix the brakes and steering but he never got around to it. The first day out driving his brakes failed and he rear ended a car bad.yikes never put off something like brakes and steering.
a tear literally almost fell....
see the dryer sheets thread.........I think you can use them to buff out most of the damage shown here in a few minutes!
Too much crying over spilt milk
Know why those cars were wrecked? Cause they were out being used as cars. And sometimes, that's what happens to cars. Frankly if you ain't tearing one up every now and then you're not enjoying them to their fullest.
They're all just buckets of bolts people. Buckets of bolts
As a kid, grew up around the corner from the local impound and would spend hours staring thru the fence at fresh wrecks. Fascinating stuff, thanks for posting!
junk yard i got to had pics of wrecks from the 50-60's they took while running wreckers all were at the scene. some showed bodys still in the cars! they had tons of them on the wall then the placed burnt down man all the "goodies" that were lost
darn i have an 64 olds like the red one in the pics,, same year and model though, ouch hurts extra much to se a car just like your own in an state of mind like that
