Hot Rods Violence in a hot rod... a terrible ride along video...

    This video is terrible, I know... I was at Austin Speed Shop today handling some unrelated business. Afterwards, Tardel and I headed to lunch in an FE powered '34 roadster from hell. He's been building this one for the past 9 months or so and they are just down to the details now.

    One of the more powerful street cars I've ever ridden in. The potential for traction at WOT is pretty much nil. And the sound? Good god man... Sounds like a cup car.

    Now that is a HOT ROD.........can't be called anything else......that's what keeps us old race car drivers interested in cars...........PURE UNADULTERATED HORSE POWER at any time and any speed..........in the circle track arena we called that a business coupe......even though it is a roadster...it's all business.

    Good lord that must have felt good. I've got friends with 900hp turbo builds that have scary acceleration, but the general feel of the car cant hold a candle to that little rod right there. -rick

    Vehicles like this should be outlawed...they're too loud, too dangerous, they smell funny, and prolly only get 3 mpg.

    One of the most ignored sources of pure horsepower! FE combustion chamber designs allow high compression, excellent squish/quench. But the intake ports? Therin lie the real ponies.
    Grab 'em while you can, these cars/engines (352, 390, 406, 427, 428) are being sought out and crushed.
    Many combinations/variables possible, from engine to engine...steel cranks, good rods, plus much HP stuff.
