Technical Vintiques wiper speeds?

Hey I see there a way to make one of the cheap Chrome vintiques wiper motors variable speed or intermittent ?

 

they don't have a "park" feature, do they? If so, you might be able to get an aftermarket box that will make them intermittent.

 

I have this wiring diagram to convert mine into 2sp however I haven't got around to it so far.

is that the same motor? I downloaded the Drake wiper catalog, it appears that the Mighty Wiper is not the Vintiques wiper motor.

 

Don't know about that, I just stumbled onto site and put 2 and 2 together and thought I'd give it a try with my single 12v motor. I was just going to put something together and see if it worked in 2spd mode. I have to time the sweep on mine for wipers to park otherwise they stop where ever once turned off. I have Newport wipers for the other car.

DC motors are great for speed reduction without torque loss. Rheostat should work.

I bet the easy way would be to buy a Newport engineering verible switch

 

Ya I thought about that. Might screw with the park feature though. I guess I will be the guinea pig.
