Being a retired logger I especially enjoy this beautiful Federal long logger. Wood reach and cheesebkocks ready for an oversized one log load! I was an owner operator with a ‘86 Freightliner 12064 logger kit with a 260” wheelbase. It had a 3412 DITTA Cat with both Jakes and a retarder, Fuller 18 spd with Eaton DT460P two speed rears. Caterpillar Dyno Days it put out 1260 HP To the ground. I miss canyon carving with it. Hell on drive tires but she could get the timber to the mill!
This particular truck, is the actual rig that my user name is derived from, its a "41 GMC K-18 " I bought it when I was 17 and used to drive it in high school. I sold it a few years ago, it now lives in a military / aviation museum in Bakersfield California, and its going to be fully restored.
Ross Island Sand & Gravel of Portland, OR used to have this vintage Mack truck. They exclusively used Mack trucks for their fleet. Sadly they went out of business a few years ago.
