Does anyone know if historian Terry Reed from Cincy is still around? If so is he still involved in racing or has he walked away? Anyone have a working email address for him?

I've tried everything I know and am drawing a blank.

    Thanks.

    I think he's already around.

  6. Have you tried the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame for an address / phone number for Terry Reed?

    Hi Rabs32,
Thanks so much for your great photos. The red and white #8 is my Trevis car with Harry Benjamin driving. I never saw that picture, is it Selingsgrove 1975? I bought that car from Jim Zeigler. It was a blue and white #66 that Ralph Quarterson drove. Thanks for the memories!

So far I've only found some pit action from 1972 got a bunch more that I have to check out,it looks like there setting up and, or final adjustments hard to tell through a 2 by 2 screen, I can't wait to see them on a bigger screen, I believe it's either before practice or qualifying dad took these because jersey wouldn't let me sneek in the pits at 12 years old ,Thanks for the advice....Rich

I took our midget out there in ...75 I think. USAC show combined with super vee shitboxes and Indy cars. The right turn was a setup nightmare with a roadster.

    Indybigjohn,
Hoyt was driving the Jim Robbins car that year and he put it on the pole. It was so windy and bad that the drivers agreed to wait untill Sunday to try to make the show. Jerry said he did not know about the ageement. I was ther that day and after he made his run they took it back to the garage area and fired it up again to run all the nitro out of it. Cliff Griffith ran 10th in the same car in 1956, I still have my Dad's pit shirt from 56

Jim (and other that posted info)

Thanks, that's his number. Tom Schmee of the Hall of Fame mentioned that he is associated with Miami University of Ohio but when I looked at their directly, there was no 'Terry Reed' listed. After a bit of poking around I found a Dr. Kenneth T. Reed, with the same email address I have.

Bottom line is he uses his middle name for non-academic endevors. Thanks to all the helped.

Thanks for the info, Jim. I knew a little about it, but not much. Got some insight from Brock Yates' book.
