Great pictures Kerry,34 Gaz,Al G., and Dago 88 by the way Dago is that your Olds coupe in your avatar? The are one of my favorite cars right next to my 57 Chevy 2dr.sed. and my Willys coupes. It's always good to get a perspective from other parts of the world. Hot Rodding is a universal activity.

Danny Oakes Ferrari 375 in 1954 at Indianapolis. It missed the show. I'm not 100% sure but there's a good chance that this is the same car that Alberto Ascari drove in the 1952 500. That would seem to make sense as I believe Ferrari importer Luigi Chinetti was the entrant.

  25. I have a couple of copies of the "1965 Bakersfield Fuel Gas Championships" LP on vinyl! I used to put it on "the hifi" out in the shop when I was working on something and it'd sound like you were in the pits of the drags.

  28. Nope! No way in the world anyone would be wearing such garish colors out in public!
All the way on the right, that's me in my grandma's back yard back in the late '60s. I remember that shirt! It was RED! Not just a little red, like fire engine red!!!
