    I'd guess that 4 cents a gallon was a big deal back in those days. :rolleyes:

  9. @keef59 after enjoying your efforts for a year or so on this thread I have to wonder if you find all your stuff on the Web, or if you really have a million old family photos you are slowly digitizing for us, as you rarely post anything I have seen before, if ever?

    Yes, and $.04 a gallon discount WAS a big deal. They were called gas wars, one station lowered their price, then the one across the street had to do the same.

    I just tried something.... I uninstalled the HAMB app and logged in thru my browser.... No more problems with photos!!!

    So the problem is with the app, not my phone, not the way they are posted.

    Yes they had the year and series on them from the factory. That looks like a dandy piece!

    To answer your question , yes , Buick indeed had the year emblazoned on the grille in 1956 ....
