    I was thinking the same thing! No back boards or neck support at all. Things have certainly improved in that field since back in those days.

    I love these old promotional videos, in this one you get a lot of background scientific info to explain the advantages of the product. These things worked o.k. I guess, as long as you didn't try to "force" them (as in a speed-shift). They liked to work at their own pace. SO - when I was a kid with my first car, a '48 Chev Fleetline, the Chevy guys all ran an eliminator kit that you could buy almost anywhere. I think I got mine from Sears and Roebuck. For a few bucks you could bolt on new shift levers, throw the vacuum assist unit in the trash - and speed-shift to your heart's content!

    Yep. They tore down a guy's barn to dig Hoffa up. Problem was....he wasn't buried there. Here is the new barn in Milford Township they built for the guy....it's almost right next door to a buddy of mine's home.... Picture 239.jpg

    The Cobra shot Rootie posted in post 132250 got me intrigued so I went and found this further info for your reading pleasure. I learn something new almost everyday on the HAMB I'm a Cobra fan and thought I had seen every variation but not this one.
