The car hop uniform is very risqué for that time period. I wonder if she was photoshopped in

I thought she looked a little out of place but if she is photoshopped it's a dang good job, her reflection is in the door.

 

Good observation on the reflection, but the rear leg is to far forward in said reflection. The angle of the legs in the reflection are more parallel than the actual car hop's angle to the car. Plus the depth of field of the legs in the reflection isn't right. Great effort by someone trying to dup us though.

 

Not photoshopped. If you google the photo, it is from the Miami Herald's 1952 article on the Drive-ins in Miami dressing their carhops in increasingly more revealing oufits.
But yeah, kinda risque for the early fifties.

Swi, I think I remember the Studebaker in the street scene with the butterfly back window from before. I'm not complaining because I think they are tits. You can post it again tomorrow if you want! BTW, you've been posting some killer stuff lately. THANKS.

 

Most car hops back then wore slacks with pockets when I was in hi school , 1946--1950

Thanks for the correction. I was going by what the article labeled it as.

 

It could be real! the reflection looks ok, and the other girls seem to be dressed the same. also dont forget this is in Florida (most likely Miami based on the license plates).

 

Not complaining, at least we got Tilted Kilt and Hooters!

 

Seb is the Tilted Kilt an east coast deal, as I have not heard of them out here
