As promised a while ago, I've dug up over 200 images from various high school yearbooks, and I've cropped, cleaned up, fixed the brightness and contrast and generally made 'em look as good as possible for your enjoyment. A few have a black band running across them; those were across two pages of the book so the band covers the gap in between. There are a lot of San Gabriel Valley schools represented this time, but also schools from New York, Illinois and South Dakota.
And remember, if someone else reposts them, you saw 'em here first!;)

Great photos from SoCal back in the 50's. I lived in Highland Park, class of '57, and I recognized some of those dealerships. Thanks for posting.

Glad you like 'em! Next batch. The first photo is from Glendora HS, circa 1966-1967 if anyone thinks they recognize this Deuce roadster:

Any car in Yankton, South Dakota in 1956? Probably.
That's it for now - but the digging continues and I already have about 300 photos from an archive set to load up (and they haven't been posted here a bunch of times already!).
Thanks for viewing - and thanks to the many photographers who captured these little memories.

  23. Really? The water speed is like 1 and 1/2 knots! I've been involved in a couple of restorations of those cars and as cute as they are... I'm glad someone else owns them!

Yeah they're pretty slow but will run up 6-7 knots on a good day. His had major rust when he bought it.
