  1. That band looks like Sha-na-na, Rock N Roll revival group, in their early days (late 60s-early 70s).

    Fantastic photos! A simpler time and place. Back when a car was truly a member of the family. Something to be enjoyed when driven and not thought of as simply a vanilla metal box with wheels to be used simply to run to and fro as quickly as possible.

    Thanks for reminding us to enjoy the privilege of owning these rolling pieces of history.

    Remember as a kid, when your parents/grandparents always packed a cooler when going on a trip or short jaunt for a drive to visit someone/some place? I can remember stopping along the highway for a picnic, setting everything out on a picnic table and other families doing the same without worrying one of you was going to come up missing when ready to leave. We just ran around having a great time.

    Anyone else still have their Aurora Model Motoring track?!

    Remember the smell of the red Aurora oil and those hot little pancake motors?!
