I love the photos of mid 50's Buicks. They were thought of as somewhat stodgy (even though they had some high performance models), and as 'your Father's Buick', but they looked great, especially with the full-cut-out rear wheel wells that no other maker chose to use. Too bad they suffered with the Dynaflow, but maybe Buick discovered they were too torquey for a (production) Hydramatic to handle. It seems a conundrum: sporty looking with a slush box. But a good looking, stylish chair car nonetheless.
In the 60's and 70's my two son's and myself would stop at the Gorman Cafe before we spent the day riding our dirt bikes. Ate breakfast there many times. Great desert riding back in the day. Not much of it is open now. Ron
