I was at a family gathering yesterday and one of my sisters had a few pictures of the old junkyard/used car lot where I spent time growing up. My Dad was the J in J&S. Most of these are dated 1958. Wish I had one of these beauties. Wrecker. Rare southeast Texas snowstorm. I think this was the used car salesman named Claude. It wasn't a huge place. A couple of acres, I think. Body/repair shop. The dreaded boom truck that smashed cars for scrap.
Must of got more snow than ya think around there, Snow chains on the back of this old ford wrecker???
That's the yard truck. Those chains were more for mud. I can count the number of snows that stayed on the ground in my lifetime on my fingers.
