I am converting '49 Pontiac to Power Brakes with hanging pedal assembly and firewall booster. The original heater box in the engine compartment needs to be removed to allow room for the booster. This led me thinking of replacing the whole heating system with aftermarket ac/heating system. Has anyone installed Vintage Air heating/cooling system in Pontiacs of this era? I believe Chevs are quite similar in terms of space available under dash so any experiences of choosing the best fitting kit and installing it would be helpful.
Lohari can you post up pics of the pedal assembly while you install it? I'd like to see how it fits in.
