Vin Decoding 49 or 50 Ford....HELP!!!!

    The '49/'50 Ford ID #'s do not decode as much as you may like. The only thing they indicate is; numbers of cylinders, plant location in which it was manufactured (there were about 11) and the production sequence number.

    Post your VIN and I will post the breakdown..........it is available in The Standard Catalog of American Cars.......of which I have a copy. I did the same for my own '50 Club Coupe.

    B is a V8( i think H is the 6), then a number for the year--0 for 1950; 2 letters are the plant where it was built; the last 6 numbers are the car's production sequence #.
