After seeing my post here regarding my frame, Maniac (aka Steve) messaged me, explaining he was just a few minutes away in Bethel and wanted to help. He came by to take a look, told me what I needed to do to get it ready for the fix and I got to work with the grinder and a cutoff wheel. With the bad area all cleaned up and ready, Steve came by with a trailer on Friday (7/5/13). Here's how it all went down: http://youtu.be/_p5ERFoxty4 I will eventually strip and coat the entire frame (the rest of which is very solid) and maybe add a little more support. But at least for now we'll be able to put the bed back on and have it looking like a whole truck again, as soon as I can get the few pieces I still need to git 'er done... Thanks again, Maniac! You've been a HUGE help to this restoration rookie...
Great story, always nice to have friends with skills & equipment and willing to help a person in need.
