  1. That chop is gorgeous because its no the normal thing you see on a shoebox style. The story of how this has come about is purely great.

Nice to see you finally let the cat out of the bag. I thought you were nuts for getting rid of the '40 to build it but it was obviously a great choice. I'm looking forward to getting the Rodders Journal with the cover/twelve page feature. :D ;) :D You should change your screen name to King Midas since you have the golden touch.

Way to build the suspence Skipper, even had to 'turn' the page.
Outstanding, I see how your buddy's son Andrew was blown away.

Didn't know what to think when you said you were changing the wrap around rear glass on a Vicky. But it works perfect with the belt molding and the slight over hang at the windshild.Great vision and proportions.

    great story and car

  13. Love the roof and the grill bar, but I'm not sold on keeping the parking light's and trim.
Customized should include even the smallest details.

I am here, amigo......and I am really pissed off! How can I even come close to what you did with your *Victrola*???? You have just set a standard that will be hard to match.......I know I can't........but I did french my headlights, deck my trunk lid, and peak my hood.......so far I have been doing more mechanical work on mine than body work........with my meager welding skills I wouldn't even attempt a chop.......guess I am stuck with those wraparound rear windows!!:D

A new high in style for the wonderful *Victrolas* !!

Thanks guys now what colors? If everything works out the car will be painted at beginning of next year. I definately want two tone and if the King of photoshop shows up JamesD he will nail it. Maybe black with yellow body with black or jelly and peanut butter and jelly?

Skip, that is one of the best looking '51 Victorias I have ever seen...the profile is amazing. You, sir, have a good eye!

As far as color goes, how about bronze? Either factory '51 Hawaiian Bronze or Sam (Barris) bronze?

Brian thank you so much for the compliment...I can't hold a candle to you but I follow everything you do. Yes those colors sound beautiful. JamesD should be posting some colorization photos soon.
