But don't shut it down with straight veggie oil in the fuel pump!

Local Bombgaars used to sell a wd40 substitute made from soybean oil. Really worked great. Then it was not available anymore. Try it to loosen rusted threads

Was he a deer hunter? Maybe processed his own meat? Petroleum doesn't play well with food.

Give it to someone that has a waste oil heater
Invite people over to help on your project with a big fried dinner at the end
Pour it around the garage foundation to kill weeds.
Pour it in the oil recycling drum at autozone.
Ask the taco truck guy if you can trade it for lunch.

I can tell you what you don't do with it. Waste oil or used fryer oil, maybe it has value now to old Volvo drivers, but that wasn't always the case, apparently at one time anyway restaurants had to pay to get rid of it. There was a local mom and pop restaurant, some years ago, and in the alley behind it there was a manhole cover (they thought) was part of the sewer system. They were dumping their well used fryer oil down that. Problem solved!

Except, it wasn't a sewer system ... the manhole cover in the alley behind the restaurant was actually access to city underground utilities.

Big electrical transformers, $$$ things like that. It took quite a while, but eventually they dumped enough grease down there to screw things up royally. Oops!
