With so many different factory valve covers and unknown amounts of custom valve covers made, has anyone ever thought of writing a definitive i.d. guide for all of the valve covers out there. I know I have been had before by not knowing what to look for, and on the same token I have scored a great set just by pure dumb luck. Anyone on the HAMB have the knowledge and resources to get this done? I'd know I'd be willing to pony up for a few books if someone would take the ball and run with it.
Would likely be a better book if you included all aftermarket engine accessories rather than valve covers only. Some OEM covers and air cleaner housings are so rare and unique that they could command a chapter all their own.
