Worry about getting it home once you find it. Marcy drives up this way frequently. I bet you could make arrangements with her

I'm sure everyone will be so happy for you to get it back, that transportation will be the least of your problems. Regardless of the condition it is in. Paper the town with reward posters.

Mike, you know your covered on getting it back. It's a shame Nick from Phoenix isn't in Austin seeing that he found that 37 Ford Panel. Thereis still hope.

Buy a cheap cell phone stash it up under dash somewhere. rig a charger to it from 12 volt power supply, to keep battery up. That way if you get your ride ripped, simply call the provider for the gps coordinates.

I'm gonna do what Haney said just as soon as I get a ride worth stealing. Excellent idea.

does anyone know if this will really work? the part about them giving you the GPS coordinates..?
or will they stone wall you with BS like,, how do we know that this is your equipment,, or we really cant do that..or the "software dont work that way" or "our system isnt set up like that"

just curious...because its a dam good idea, and i have at least 3 old phones i could put to use this way.
than you come to the other road block..the local Po Po..that is too busy handing out revinue bills on the local highway, and hasent got time for your "real" crime

Im sure they would give them to the police. My wife uses a pay by the minute phone from Virgin, but you have to put $20 in every three months, also you would have to make sure its on all the time. But it would be pretty cheap insurance...

Arrowtrack you can get online and find your car yourself. (think of how much fun that would be) Or if its bumped or moves outside a defined by you space it calls your phone to let you know. I will have one on my car.

Good luck and I hope you find your truck. I hate thieves!!!

Ha Ha ! ! I resemble that remark !! I also insure all my junk , cars and M/C's through grundy world wide for the replacement value.

Back to the cell phone idea....my wife looses hers riding trail on her horse. calls provider for coordinates. If you stash one in your hot rod, make sure and put it on mute ! ! :D

Just a thought, can you contact dmv,s from suronding states to see IF a truck close to your yr has been reg ? Just a thought and grabbing for straws, but maybe as fine as it is(your truck) a thief is to proud to just sit on it.They got to brag in some form or another, because they have no guts to work and sweat and say i did this,i think if they steal the truck they will steal the glory also, sorry for the rant............YG
