A friend of mine called me and said 'A customer stopped by the shop and mentioned he had a bunch of 1939 and 1940 Ford cars and parts for sale, I'm not interested in them but if you want I will ride with you and we can go look at them.' (Allegedly 4 cars total) so off we go, no idea what we are heading into. An old pole barn/garage that was built in the mid-1970s with four cars and tons of parts that were put in there at the time of the build, never to be seen again.... Until we arrived. What a great guy the owner was. The only caveat was.... 'You have to buy everything, I don't want to sell just one or two of the cars or just some of the parts'. So I bought it all, and the fun began.... Three fellow HAMB'ers another buddy and I started pulling stuff out of the attic and out of the cars and got ready for the haul. Hoods, fenders, doors, grills, radiators and a stack of garnish molding 2 foot tall..... Truck and trailer full of hoods and garnish moldings. Trailer and van full of fenders, doors, interior parts and radiators. Then the cars! Remember the cars? Did I mention they all have titles too? Two 40' coupe's one deluxe and one standard a 40' 2 door sedan and a 39' deluxe two door sedan. I'll post pictures of the sedans soon. Enjoy guys!!!
