OK I guess I am either just plain stupid or possibly too old, or just not "cool" but what the hell is "laid out"? Jim
Laid out is generally used to describe a car or truck that is on bags and lays very low to the ground, if no on the ground such as mine above. For the purpose of this thread, I would say that cars that are just real low would also fit the bill.
LOL,yeah right! edit,,forgot about the influx of ex mini truckers/vw guys,,,,CAN YOU SAY PLAYED TO BE LAYED????
Its alright man, not everyone can be fans of the laid out look. That is the beauty of the car scene, you can look at the ones you like and walk right by the ones you don't like. There will always be some of us though, be sure of that.
Here is what I've got goin on.
I agree, thought it was cool like when i first saw em, now i dont care for that look anymore
"Laid Out" comes from the mini-trucker dictionary which would also describe "Laying Rocker" or any other form of overly lowered- i.e. "bagged" vehicle on air bags.
I was one of the editors at Sport Truck Magazine when the "bagged" and "laid out" look really was taking hold. The owners used to get so pissed when we would set them up for a photo shoot and ask them to air the trucks UP a few inches and definitely get the rear higher than the front. We weren't fans of the "laid out" look that just seemed to make the trucks- and eventually the older "bagged" cars look broken.
The same dictionary defines channeled cars and trucks as "body dropped" and vehicles with ugly tweed interiors as "fully wrapped". Wish all had stayed with the mini-truck scene, but at least a few things like techno vomit tribal paint jobs, 26-inch billet wheels and tilted sunken license plates did not make the cross-over
Heres my 41
killer 50 man....perfect!! Don't change a thing!
Thanks, there is lots that needs to be changed, but nothing that really shows up in the pictures. I already got parts on the way for it.
