  1. I keep finding cool shows on lately..Last night i caught a show on TV Land about the top ten Tv show Cars.almost every damn one was built by Barris of course... Can you guess which car was number one?
8:00 PM TV Land Top 10 003 - TV Cars This one hour special highlights some of the most unique and fascinating automobiles in television history -- from the Batmobile to the General Lee to the Koach car (The Munsters)---and the stories behind them.

  2. Marcus, that show was on a while ago...good nonetheless. I guess I need to see it again since I dont remember what was first. hehe

I'm guessing the Munsters car or Batmobile but personally I would go back a bit further and pick Kooky's car from 77 Sunset Strip or the old tub that Bud had on Father Knows Best.
Also gotta love the Beverly Hillbillys car.

If it's for which car was a "star" on the show, that would have to go to the general lee. They changed the actors, but the car was always the same.

"I want a car that can smoke the tires like the A-team van does!"

(Some non-car dude sitting next to me in English class back in high school said that when I asked him what he was getting for his first car!)

That van ROCKED! 454 power, built by Eddie Paul as I recall! [IMG] [IMG]

Anybody have a picture of Bud's hot rod on father knows best? All I remember is it being so cool at the time. I'd like to look over the details after all these years.

There was a write up in collectable car a few issues back on Bud's roadster. It's a beautiful shade of green. I can't recall who owns it now, but they did a great job of restoring it. Anybody remember the Lyle Lake buick on that episode of the twilight zone? I'd really like to get a copy of that, and the dragnet hot rod episode if anyone has either. What about The Prisoner??? I always dug that sporty job he drove in the beginning credits. The Munsters were a huge inspiration to me at an early age. Maybe that explains the early facination with hearses and the like. the Monkee-mobile was another I always flipped out on.Also dig the episode of Leave it to Beaver were Wally buys a cool 36 ford (Ward pronounces it coup-ay..) I watch waaay too much tv.

Anybody remember the episode of the Waltons called "The Hot Rod"? Anybody have a pic? I remember it from when I was a kid to the extent that it looked like a hot rod but cannot remember the first thing about it.

Since this board is about traditional hot rods, we should consider "My Mother the Car." Really stupid show, but the title role was played by Grabowski's red T tub.
