My daily driver is a 1949 Packard. It's actually our shop truck. Here is a pic from last year when it still had the wide whites.

A new set of radials made it a completely different car. I am more than happy with it's depedability. Most days it's tough to decide what to drive.

My shop is full and we need room to work so whatever runs is subject to a test drive. We love toys!

here's mine but its only been on the road about 4 months. it will about 15 mpg if I keep my foot out of it which is damn near impossible. Because Minnesota winters suck it will be put away in mid October:eek:

  9. A little update with some newer pics of my beater. I have done A LOT of work to it since the last ones were posted. Rain or shine I drive the fuck out of this. It's the ONLY car I own. No money for two cars (I'm a college student).

My 49. No heat, no ac, no wipers, no radio and i love every minute of it. I built it to drive it. It felt weird not driving it when the trans was being rebuilt.

Still driving the wheels off this pig

  14. Thanks! It still has a long way to go! I still got a lot more shit to cut and weld on it. I want a finished wild kustom someday. Right now it's only shaved, nosed decked and lowered. I would like to have the full kustom treatment. Just hard with no cash, no garage, no tools, no time and no money:(

    Someday:cool:

    Wow, that sits right. Gorgeous.

  16. They should all be built to be driven

Our son and I ran my daily driver 140 miles up to the Missouri Breaks camping for the weekend. A few more rattles and scrapes but thats what its for. Almost too low for the trail but we managed to pick our way along the 10 miles of trail.

All that has been done to get it to sit like that was 3" Blocks and air shocks.

    $500 1965 Pontiac Star Chief 4drHT.

Still on the road after 5 years and 18,000 miles (about 16 MPG).

Shown below in it's natural habitat of ice and snow.

Also shown below being used in an independent move called "Splatter (love, honor, paintball)". It was the "Star car".
