Features TRUCKS ONLY PIC THREAD! Show me your cool trucks...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by terd ferguson, Oct 11, 2009.

  1. luckily everything i need for the truck is with the truck, there is no major rust aside from a little coming through the fenders at the top fender braces. The rear fenders are dented but shouldn't be to hard to save. I got pretty lucky with the overall condition of the truck considering how long it was stored and then sat in the field.

Actually, the parts are getting easier to find as Power Wagons are very popular & people are making more & more replacement parts for them, & in-turn many of those parts interchange with the Pilothouse.

That's a cool old wrecker. Holmes 525? Reminds me of my '51.
You should post it in the COE and wrecker threads too.

It's good to a COE in its original dress. So many have been morphed into someone's "better" idea or disassembled for similar plans yet to be completed that it seems rare to see one unmolested.

    I like the Willys.

I'm making some new sideboards for the Bonneville tire truck. But I kind of like it as a flatbed. The curved side racks were custom built by hand for the General Tire Company in 1947, so they are staying, but the lack of side boards puts more emphasis on the styling of the Diamond T cab, which I like.

I thought all the steel top trucks would have had the wide bed? Here is Dad's late '31. It also has the indented firewall. He put it together from pieces.
