  1. Thanks.

    I've always liked '48-'50 F-1s. Sold a nice project '48 a few years ago, should've kept it.

  2. ...you must mean 51-2 cab?...nice truck.

I posted this back in January and since then I rattle-canned the truck in Rustoleum Oregano satin. It doesn't fade as fast as the Duplicolor primer. I guess I got inspired and added an Almond color around the window.

I also found a better chrome front bumper from Craigslist, bought a repop chrome grill from an acquaintance - doesn't fit all that great but it pleases me. Installed the new door handles, mirror arms, yada, yada, Anyway...here's a couple shots of my '55:

I always thought your truck would look cool with a 56 grill...

  21. Cool build. From the thread:
"I'm not sure what the color is as I bought some miss tinted color from a mate and then had some more color matched then added the two together."
That's gotta be the best accidental color ever!

My favorite shot from the thread:

Well you did say Trucks, I know I will catch hell because it is newer, but it was a basket case when I got it, if it makes any difference it will be used to tow my old cars around.

Either way I'm pretty happy about how it turned out,
