Barona again 2016

 

104 degrees in the garage yesterday and we accomplished everything we needed to do. Nothing like sweating your ass off in clutch dust and 70 weight oil....We've got a date with a Red White and Blue Fiat in Sacramento July 2nd....

Car is ready for our Fox Hunt race against Jason Richey. We received our invite to run at the AA Fuel Altered Championship at Firebird Raceway in Boise, Idaho August 12-14. So we'll be making the tow North in August.

Looks like we're ready to make the 12 hour tow to Boise for the AA Fuel Altered Championships Aug 12-14. Looks like a full 8 car field of some really fast, true, AA Fuel Altereds...

 

PEPSI NIGHTFIRE NATIONALS (August 11-14)
The state's premiere motorsport's national championship, the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals will return this August even bigger and better than any year previous. Literally the Who's Who in the sport of drag racing have competed at what is recognized as Firebird's "Signature Event". Racers will compete in AA/Fuel Dragsters, AA/Funny Cars and AA/Fuel Altered. In addition, 280 mile per hour Jets and an exciting wheelstander will help light-up the skyline nightly, too. The Saturday Night Thunder is one of the biggest nights of the entire season where all the Pro Stars compete in their final qualifying attempts. The Prime Time Finals on Sunday will culminate the 4-day & night race. In addition, hundreds of racers battle in the National Dragster Bracketeer Challenge for a combined purse topping $170,000. Fox Hunt 2016

 

Mixing Nitro for our Boise race....

 

We ended up #4 with a 6.16 @209. We over powered the track in round 1 and got beat by Sullivan...SHIT! We really wanted to beat those guys.....

 

It really is a bitch when you have too much horse power LOL Good work anyway.

We're looking for crew help in 2017. This is a non-paid situation. We'll get you in to the races and feed you the best sandwiches and soda that we can afford. Some mechanical experience would be great, must be able to follow directions and like to work. Nitro racing isn't easy and it's a lot of work. But, there's nothing better then bringing a AA Fuel Altered to the starting line. If you're interested in getting involved please let me know. The car is based in Valencia, Ca. We usually work on the car one night a week and Saturdays.
