I have one of these for sale in the classifieds, and a HAMBer asked for a scan of the sheet to have for his fan, I never thought anyone would want it, but it makes sense. the paper actually fared better than the box and the fan...go figure.

I am going to scan it, anyone else who needs a scanned copy,

    email me at

[email protected] and I'll shoot it to you.

    Best, Derek

    Vacuum fans suck. And blow.

Actually, there's a turbine blade in the housing, the engine pulls a vacuum in the housing, and a small orifice that is open to the atmosphere allows the air that is drawn into the housing to be jetted against the turbine. This picture might help a bit.

LOL, can you imagine trying to drive in the rain with vacuum wipers AND a vacuum defroster fan?!

I did drive in the rain and fog once it wasn't that bad. The car I was driving Had the little fan and vacuum wipers. Believe it or not you can speed the wipers up. But the bad part was the windshield kept fogging up and the fan didn't take it so I had to drive with the window partway down in the rain that was coming in the window.

Bottom of a hill, in pouring rain. Windshield is fogged up, despite the quarter windows being open. Rain is coming in those open windows, running along and dripping on your leg. The kids are complaining about the windows bringing in the icy draught. You’ve used your handkerchief repeatedly to wipe the inside of the screen, and it’s sitting balled up on the bench seat beside you. You smoosh the loud pedal for the hill, vacuum goes to nil and wipers stop. You remember that the drum brakes booster runs off that same vacuum.

    Clench a little.

Don’t ask me how I know.

    Cheers,
    Harv
