Technical Trico Vac motor rebuild

    '57 Chebby/Pontiac, these are pretty easy to go through but the top gasket has me scratching...
    Maybe someone knows if the gasket goes above or below the bushings for the paddle thingy? Guess I should have taken notes.

    Since the gasket is cut out in the center I don't think it matters. Are the cutouts in the top and body centered, or is the body or top deeper? If the body is cutout is deeper then the gasket goes on top.

    Thanks for the great graphic, Stude. I had a hard time visualizing it until your post. Gasket on the bottom should work.

    I would call that the top. Guess it just depends on how the wiper motor is mounted in your particular car.
