My Favorite “one and done” magazine..Autocult posted this on their Instagram page...anyone got any info on this Nor Cal car??
Plus they added the stainless up by the side windows. I wish my 55 had the paint job from either one! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Love this pic...brings back memories of Detroit Dragway on Saturday nights as a teenager and young man...
More on the "bumper delete" option. About 10 or so years ago I took the front bumper off my '57 Belair. At a show, one of the club members asked why I removed the bumper. I told him that in 1955, 56 and 57, the front bumper was an option and I had found a the original build sheet for my car. I then said the build sheet showed mine came without the bumper so I took it off. I told him it must have been destined to be a gasser. About a hour later, he came back and asked if I was pulling his leg. LOL! You wouldn't believe how many fall for that story. So, whenever I see a tri-five without the front bumper, I say "I see you you have the 'bumper delete' option".
That’s funny! I’ll definitely use that one. I’m assuming the bumper delete on your build sheet referred to the “rubber bumpers” which were an option opposed to the chrome delete plates. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Shhhh don’t tell the SEGA guys. Lol. Actually I think I know why they require that. If they didn’t then the cars would start looking like pro street cars pretty quick. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
H/G ran at 12 lbs. per cubic inch, just like F/MP. Image looks to be from the 1970’s given the hood scoop style. Guys would switch from F/MP to H/G as NHRA indexes would change. Modified cars met the Gas class rules at the time. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Don't know what I did wrong in my above post. My post got included in the post I was quoting. Thanks , Ron Did I mention that a lot of people fall for my story? What build sheet? I made that up too. LOL. I've been meaning to make up a fake window sticker. With the following: Gasser package, includes: Towing pkg. (Tow bar brackets on front frame) Auxiliary fuel system (Moon Tank mounted in front) Traction Control (Ladder bars on rear axle) Lift pkg. (Straight axle) Special Exhaust pkg. (Fender well headers) Radio, heater and rear seat delete Tinted glass I was going to make up special order codes as well. And the build date on the Window Sticker would be April 1, 1957. I had a few more that I can't think of right now. Feel free to add to my list. And if anyone wants to go ahead and create the Window Sticker, feel free. Ron
A lot of people do that. What you have to do is put your reply AFTER the final "Quote" After this photo the LAST [/QUOTE] HERE put your reply. ...........................................................
I gotcha! I think I could come up with something. Starting with a 150 and some of the stock car ie black widow upgrades would be a good start. Then gasserize it. Business coupes were pretty bare bones. Some 55 150’s didn’t even come with a side mirror in some states. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Probably right then. 70's car. At first look, the scoop seemed to be offset to the right. Chevy 6 carbs are on the left. Shoulda looked at the header first H/G was a 6 or 4 class in the 60's ..Even F/G was six cylinder. Would have been a tiny SBC. Probably lucky if he didn't get P&G -ed.
