Really like the above 3 gassers!!
The first and last ones in that trilogy are cool but the second one is a little suss!
Maybe so, but it is much like I remember in the 60’s, san’s the straight axle.
I didn't think that they had fake patina in the 60's, especially with shiny clear over it.
This is more like what a real 60's gasser looked like. The whitewalls are about the only thing that they have in common. Incidentally this is the Hrudka Brothers (later Mr Gasket) at the 62 Nats .
And here is another era correct unit--even if it is a Brand F
1956 Chevrolet D/Gasser sponsored by Scribners Automotive.
Blew By You
Most likely Harry driving but campaigned by he and his brothers Tom and Dick--yep their parents named the kids Tom, Dick and Harry. The brothers went on to race pro stock and were the ones who gave Kurt Johnson his first ride. Later cars carried the Scribner Electronics banner in addition to various other backers.
Anyone go to the Tri Five Nationals in Bowling green Ky this weekend?
I wish I had
I went. They had a few cars there.
These are a few pictures that I took in the mid 60's. The silver '55 is not my picture.
I don't think the car was ever black when Zakia owned it, was it?
didn't go but have some photos from there to post in awhile.
There are a few photos of it black that look to be back in the old days but not sure. Posted way back in this thread.
At the Tri Five Nationals. From Bangshift.
The first one almost got the photographer.
My buddy Gene probably went. Here’s his 2 cars
I was there, the Midnight Special is me. Check out my build thread for my Trifive nationals report and additional Bangshift coverage.
