    I don't know, you can probably fit a 413 cross ram in that...

    My first new car was 63 two door American 220 in that color. Mine was a stick shift and did have a heater, and they threw in a radio to make the deal. $1850.00 if I recall right.

    I'd drive the wheels off that car. I always had a soft spot for sub compact 6 cylinder cars like novas Falcons and of course ramblers. 3 speed on the column of course.

    It sounds like a great plan, you grab the slow ones and I'll chase down the fast ones.

    One of my good friends had a black '61 or '62 Rambler American when we were in high school. Lots of good times in that car. I've had a soft spot in my heart for them ever since. Would love to stuff a SBC in one someday just for shits and giggles.

    My shabby trucks are chick magnets . . . Mostly homeless chicks but I'm workin' on that.

  24. I must really be living under a rock if Ramblers are the new chick magnet ride. I do like the car.

    Magnets attract as well as repel. :)

    Actually, that's a nice Ranbler. I had a buddy in high school who was a bit of a stoner and he had a ride very similar. Muffler rusted out and he pulled one off an old Honda 350, if I remember correctly, and welded it in. Had a very different exhaust time.. Haha. Jeez, I hadn't thought about that in years.

    Hell, I'd drive it and enjoy the heck out of it.

  27. I have done it all except the money part, money has never been an issue to me, I would like to have some but if I don't I'm good. Younger women really aren't my deal (no depth), but faster horses and older whiskey, now that's the deal. Plop me in or on the fastest one I can manage to finagle, give me a jug and get the hell out of my way. :D

    @mr.chevrolet
    Nothing wrong with low and slow, if that is your deal roll on. I wonder if anyone ever built a hopper out of a Rambler. :D That one looks pretty solid by the way. Don't know what you got in it but its a good place to start.

    Ok, so maybe a hot rod isn't like a plow horse, more like a thoroughbred. Not everyone needs one but they're not conducive to daily thrashing.

  30. Why not?
