History Time for a Commercial break...

  1. A somewhat similar arrangement was used in some modified Ford road tractors to haul B-24 wings & fuselage sections between plants during WW II.
    Run on one motor if need be,,,stop at the next dealer, put in another, and carry on.

    Haha - nobody could sew these divergent perspective shots together naturally and this bus is too long anyway to get the whole front and rear artistic treatment and visual effect in one shot.
    (That by the way is so typical for 1940s car designs in general)

    The guy in the first image is not a giant of a man, but this bus is still huge.
    I love how he leans in, unintentionally matching the angle of the streamline design.

    Italian design has been legendary for its lines and this B/W shot really makes them pop !

    In the 50's, lived in West Allis Wi. a neighbor worked for Oscar Mayer, drove this around for his job and he had it at his house sometimes, us neighborhood kids were never short of the whistles he gave out, very loud.
