Wow, Im actually going to start one of these hee art show thingy's. I know you guys hate these kinda cars, but here it is anyway.
My kustom related artwork has been seen in Riksters album for a couple weeks now: http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/custom_car_graphic_art/janne_kutja_custom/ P.S. Updated today!
Missed the Art show for a couple of weeks. Last weeks was killer, the best one yet, in my opinion. LLets trump last week. Keep em rollin guys. 48 Chev PU from NSRA Nationals.
not much to show this week....just a logo on a mates Pop, the logo is from the band Dr Feelgood and driving his Pop makes him "feel good" and the covers for the DVD (not done by me but by Surf Monkey) I just like the way he's done it
I'll jump in early this week. Not much from new from me lately but here's a nameplate I lettered and striped for my dog's kennel (already posted in the "shop dog" thread. And a piston pen holder/ashtray thing.
Here's another one. This one is 9"x12" on stretched canvas. Painted with acrylics. Its not quite finished yet.
Here's a couple I did last week, a toilet seat for the man hisself, and a surfboard for a friends Falcon surf wagon.
WHoah GATOR, you're painting for Norm now. DAYUMMM. way to go. Hey Burny, those drawings kick ass. Thanks Big A for the compliment. The Wolf is an idea that I'm going to work with for a few paintings...... I'm into painting themes right now. "Bad Guys" "Wolves" "Mad Bombers" etc.
Tattoo I got a few months ago. Inspired by art from the HAMB art archives. The artist and I changed a few things to make it different. Tattoo done by Dave Wheat of House of Ponchos in Edgewood, MD. Sorry, I can't remember the HAMBer that did the original artwork.
First off, I'd like to say that the talent here is amazing. It's great to see all the different styles and content all in one place. GREAT JOB everyone! I missed last weeks show, but I do have some stuff for this week. The first pic is a sign I did for a friend's Wrecking yard. It's done with two pieces of s-10 back glass (the back piece is painted black on the back, and the top one has the silver on the back). The "Whitey's" lettering was done on a piece of that plastic cardboard stuff (don't know what it's called) and is "floating" between the two. the last two are acrylic on canvas board.
Not sure if this is a repost or not. "Flakey Tiki" ,a work in progress.. 9 different types and colors of 'Flake in the background, hologram eyeballs peering out through a Tiki mask, and "a little" pinstriping.
Here's the latest "vintage-style" neon sign I built. We just installed this last week at a new tex-mex place here in Baltimore. They wanted something that looked like they dragged it off of the roadside in the southwest. We also did the "antiqued" painted lettering on the brick...something you see a lot of here in Baltimore.
