Thanks. It's tight with the reversed firewall but I can make it work. I'm 5'11" and with the seat on the floor, a thin back pad and the small diameter steering wheel it's not too bad. It's the stock height, not sure but I can measure it today. Aaron
Not that you could do it on a truck but years ago (and it's probably still floating around Texas) had a 32 Cabriolet in Waco that was chopped and channeled and the seat cushions sat in recesses in the floor between the driveshaft tunnel and frame rails. About the same amount of cushion showed above the floor as in Mike's red pickup in post 32 but you were sitting on a full depth cushion. It was a real tight fit in the car and it still had a lot more room than a pickup cab of the same year though. I've always loved the looks of those little chopped, channeled and bobbed trucks but I don't think my body would handle being stuffed in one anymore. I'll just have to keep looking and saying "damn, that's nice."
There is a shop nearby having the mag you are looking for. I can buy it and mail it too you if you want. Just send me an pm with your adress and I´ll fix it....Kenneth.
That looks a lot like my friend's old truck... There are some old threads on it....here's one I dug up... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93924
Cool thanks. I like that chop, looks to me like ~6". It's funny how McKee was also asking about the chop but it's still a mystery. Maybe someone knows for sure? Aaron
Well I found a bunch more pictures. Evidently it's owned and/or was built by Jay Jay??? Can't find him on the HAMB. Just looking for the chop height, I know I'm a broken record with this thread... http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixeleye/sets/72157625674170403/detail/ Thanks, Aaron
