We are taking a trip in June down RT66 to the Grand Canyon. I do not have time to install an AC, so I was wondering if a Thermador(swamp cooler) would help?

    Thanks

If you can get it into good working order it should help. Remembwer, it's a swamp cooler and works best in dry heat.

Well, it is not like AC. There's a reason why those Thermadors are referred to as Swap Coolers. Because it uses water, it can make your car feel like a tropical paradise. I recall that some people would put ice inside and that helped somewhat but you would only feel the cool air when the car is in motion so it's not working constantly. You also have to remember to check the water level and to pull the cord every once in a while to make sure that the drum inside stays wet. I would just drink alot of water, keep a spray bottle handy to cool off, etc.....etc........
