Was talking about that thing tonight and was reminded how much I like it. Of all the late 30's/40's fenderless pickup cab/modified/hotrod trucks, that one has to be my favorite. I recall reading an article about it that claimed that they built it on the cheap too. Anyway, post up pics if you've got 'em.

The only one I could find was in Clark's album. Hope he doesn't mind...

The only photo I could easily find. I probably swiped this one from Clark too at some point....

Found a few more. The body in the back of the first photo went on to become the 999 car.

If I had a choice of getting my RPU back or my 32......I'd take the RPU. It was a great little truck!

Yeh it was built for under $5,000.

Clark crusin' to Posies open house in sub-zero weather. He rolled in eating an ice cream bar! VERY COOL!

Cars were parked for blocks around and Clark "Power Parked" right in front of the door! ("Posie" was later seen with a camera taking photos of the roadster p/u)

That is a great looking RPU! Clean amd simple with nice details. His sport coupe is the same. It inspired my art work.

Where is it now? Has it changed?

  17. I miss that little truck, I remember Clark letting me and Race Cruise it around the fairgrounds at Columbus one year.

    I liked it best with the e & j's
