    I like the bigger diamonds, little less white and if the diamonds are square, you don't know if they are sideways or not! Lippy

    How about a cleaner look with early Vette tail lights and back up lights moved to the bumper...

  8. Could I please have all the background removed and just have a plain background ?

  9. Why don't you just take a photo of it against a plain background? There must be something somehere near you?

    I thought that the door deserved its hinges reversed, so while I was in there I made it a 3 window.. I hope Moose will forgive me riffing on his design.
    What I lack in talent, I make up in haste... :rolleyes:

    I wanted to give it a Zephyr roofline and trunk:

    Oh, well. Maybe someone can take it over the finish line.
    I do think it is more successful than the factory 3 window:

    @oliver westlund
    I went back to the beginning and took the '36? Packard 110 in a different direction. I embraced the sedan for an elegant period custom. I grafted on a 1941 front clip with the slimmer tombstone grille. Swapped the bulky headlight pods for some '40 Merc units. The top is de-crowned an inch and angled lower in the rear. The back and truck have been angle forward to meet the new roof line. Dropped the car two inches in front and five in back. Finished it off with '54 Packard sombrero wheel covers.

    Thats pretty! Yeah it is a 36 packard. I have 5 window in my head for this...hot rod 5 window too haha just enough of that late 30s elegance but hot rod heart that scoots and a slight rake...It has the straight 8...I may run that or a 41 cad flatty thats sitting in my shop. I am not cutting up a great car either, this thing has no floors, a fair bit of rust, poorly filled roof and a ton of dents amd damage as well as some missing bits. They never made a 5 window. This has vemt windows and a quarter window with a neat look!

    Can anyone use the bits im after here and piece it together? I wanna use the front doors but cut and splice in enough of the back door rear window opening so that it flows into the quarter window thats there...i butchered a pic to try and help explain IMG_20230313_221920.jpg

    Years ago I was at the Carlisle Swap Meet looking at a running, straight, 1936 Packard 6-cylinder 3-window coupe for $1200. A Packard club guy was looking over my shoulder and said,
    "Don't waste your money on a 6-cylinder Packard. They'll never be worth anything!"
    Shoulda bought it!
