what about the body, shell and frame in hot rod flatz metallic gold?
Hey @silent rick ...Just a bit of info. The first hot rod I ever built when I was a young wip was a 39 Chevy with a 241 Dodge hemi with a Weiand 2 duce manifold. It was bored to 272 ci balanced and had a Crower cam. It went like hell all things being equal back in the day. Here's a couple of pics.
i have a 241 that i'll use the crank, heads and rods from. i also have a 259 poly block that will get bored a sixteenth to bring it up to 270 inches. i have a weiand 4x2 intake and a grant flamethrower for it. pretty much all the stuff i had you put into the photo. back my poor man's ardun up with a muncie 4 speed. add a mordrop axle and winters quickchange center on a 42 banjo rearend with lincoln brakes at all four corners. thanks for bringing my dreams to a vision to work for.
I posted this photo and a friend was busting balls and said I needed a steam locomotive to match my car, so that go me thinking that my 41 has that cow catcher looking grill.
Anyone care to put the cab forward of my truck onto that train, so my truck becomes the "steam locomotive" he wants to bust my balls about ?
Thanks as always
Not sure which of these will work the best
Ha ha, right on guys !
edit : "Looks like a Buster Keaton movie" he says lol
this one lowered 4/3 and chrome steelies
Loose the step.
Picking up a 2wd jeep
Thinking about a little daily cruiser.
Looks like it could stand a little more drop or slightly taller rear tires with a tad more rear drop to fit the wheel well.
Shorten the frame ahead of the grill. Maybe push the front tire forward a tad.
I have a WS frame for a CJ3B. It’s around 3 inches shorter. Super easy “chop”
Thanks again. Gives me a great visual.
You might have some success with the Imperial grill but I can't envision any scenario where the Lancer grill would work....
With the Lancer I figure the bumper is at minimum loosing thr bumperetts
This is the best I could come up with...
Oh yes! Thank you
If you decide against the two grilles you mentioned, here is another idea for you:
1954 Buick grille in the '53. Will have Buick devotees scratching their heads!
I picked up a new suv that needs an attitude adjustment.
Can you shop wizards do 2 mods for me? Stance change.
1) 5” down in front and 2” down in rear
2) 5”down in front and 4” down in rear and add fender skirts.
@themoose , thank you. You do great work and fast!
I think to make it look right with skirts, the rear needs to be dropped more. It can’t have a nose down rake.
Here ya go...
@themoose damn, that’s it, well done. If only it’s that simple. Thanks again!
Trying to choose a wheel. Can I see the truck with slots and another with the TT. Also please get rid of the white walls. Thank you.
Taking it one step further.
