In the days of $150k Brookville resto-mods.... Whatever that means?

This seems like a bargain. A wealth of history to boot.

Wow! one of my all time favorites. I remember building that and the SWC Willys models as a kid, time to get a powerball ticket.

I don't think it is really for sale.......As at 150K He just has it priced.... It is badd ass, but too me owning it would not be any fun, As what would you do with it?. It will always be what it is! Never yours! wheres the fun in that??....My hats off to the guys who can afford to buy cars like this and just keep them for the rest of us to look at.

    That is so cool.

That really doesn't seem too over priced. (but still out of my range)

There is alot of ASSEMBLY made cars corvette/camaro that bring more than that at big auctions. This is one of one, and a peice of art at that, I dont think that price is out of line at all. Its iconic like the ala cart.

  22. WTF this is a first class car built from a columbia county hero drag racer.
I remember seeing this car parked in front of Bobs lot. before and after the pro build.

This is a bargain at the price being asked. Look at prices for the (with no history attached) junk that sells on those stupid television auction sites.
    ...

  24. remember this car was drove by Bob to work and around town this is a show and go car, but ya I would park it in my bed room too.

ding!ding!ding!ding!ding! that's number 12 for today! between the news and reading and here, 12 times i've heard or read the word "iconic"today. (but it's only 8:30). i miss the old days when we knew other words to describe things that have been around for awhile.

I would believe you read his comment all wrong. He was saying that 150K wasn't all that much for a true racing icon that is one of the most popular race cars of all time as compared to the price of new shop built 32 Fords with Brookville bodys coming out of shops around the country with 150K price tags on a regular basis.

I've managed to see the car a couple of times over the years at indoor shows and it always impresses me on how detailed it is for a race car. I'd say well worth the 150 K.

  28. Id need a garage door in my bedroom, for when the urges came to take it out and play with it, the Orange Crate i mean! :D

Meantime, ill make do with my Rodders Journal collection that lives right next to my bed. Issue 38 has the Crate in it.:cool::cool:
