Is there anyway to get a copy of that? I can name a few from possibly Green Valley & Amarillo drags. I had never seen any of those guys making a pass on any video to date!!! Full body cars. Emmit Glass, Buck & Bohls, August "Hands" Hartkoph, DCB coupe, triple nickel & others that I could tell. Wow! Thanks a bunch man!
Too Cool Root, be sure and tell your pop thanks from some of the RBDNCC members for the memories. I grew up going to the OKC fairgrounds races.
Herdez nailed a few of the cars.A little more info for those who don't know: August "Hands" Hartkopft in the white 2 door '56 Chevy, held NHRA E/G record(or D?) for a while I believe.A HUGE guy called "hands" because his fingers were as big as a Polish sausage! I think he had a speed shop in Austin,TX. if I remember right. DCB coupe was the red Model A which held the C/A record for a time (mycompetition). It was campaigned by Don C. Breithaupt(sp?) out of Arlington,TX.SBC Chevy powered. I'm sure many people recognized the Dode/Martin Dragmaster also. Tripple Nickel 555 roadster too. Very cool footage. Thanks!
Wow! What an honor to be used as the soundtrack to such cool footage. Thanks Chris!!! I sure would like to get a copy of that... I've been experimenting with an old 8mm camera and expired film. My plan is to film the drags next year in 8mm glory. We'll see.. Thanks again from the "World Famous High School Caesar".
