Yeah man, I'm glad they make this at least an annual. Was also nice to see a feature of the "Hot Rod Revolution" in the latest R'n'C issue.
damn, i still don't have last years! it didn't hit news stands here last year, hopefully this year it will.
Just got mine, its cool as hell! Send me a pm TMK I'll go by tomorrow and see if there's another copy.
Here's some irony. After reading the thread here about Lucky Burton's truck on the cover of R&C,and seeing it was all about HotRod Haulers, I bought it without looking through it. Typically I will flip through it at the store and never purchase it. It just never seems to hook me. While flipping through it at home I see the ad for The Little Pages and I thinks to myself, that looks pretty cool, if I see it at the bookstore,I will check it out. After,by chance, coming across this thread and reading the entire thing, I will definately buy one,if I can find it. I do buy R&K and HRD religiously,I grab it without opening the cover. I just like having them around,Little pages may very well be the same. The thing about print vs net media is comparable on many levels. Car mounted record player vs the ipod Ryan hid in his car. It is all about how much exposure do you want to that particular thing. They both play music. The R&C I picked up tonight has coverage of the GNRS, I remember all the photos that were posted here before the engine in the car of the person that attended, had cooled down. Look at all the photo threads of LSRU, the coverage it will recieve in certain magazines will only offer a small version of what the HAMB has enabled us all to experience. Instantly. That is the beauty of the internet,it is instant and in your face real. So to recap,I'll buy Little Pages if I can find it, & The HAMB Rules!!!
The new little pages is truly an awesome issue! Special thanks to Chris Shelton for getting the credit to Ronnie Kimball he long deserved for builng that cool little roadster. I spent 25 years admiring that cool car which ironically my dad got to work on not long after Ron enrolled at SDSU back in the mid 60s. Yes, I have a special place in my heart for that car!
well Ryan i think the other guys know a lot more about this site than we all think i was just thinking of some of the other stuff that dont get covered much by the traditional magazines or whatever stray cat KKOA MSRA "back to the 50"s" i know they have been in some articles, but sometimes thay have been ignored for years i never even knew about KKOA and Stray Cat untill i read the board every day I am also seeing a lot more shows and big shows in print adv.
Im stoked, Thanks to Tman and the Hamb and of course Chris Shelton we were able to put the history together on Ron Kimballs old roadster
I bought two. One for me, one to offer to any HAMB member that can't find one and is willing to pay the purchase price plus mailing cost. I know that last year a bunch of guys couldn't find them. My local store only had three copies today. I left with two of them. Probably should have bought all three. If it's still there tomorrow I may buy that one too. If you really can't find one, PM me. First come, first served
Finally got ahold of some copies. I bought one for myself and three extras for those who can't find one in their town. If you want one for the cost of the magazine plus shipping, PM me. There were at least 10 more copies from what I saw so if the first three goes and you want one, I'll go get more..
Hastings.. On Georgia if you're in Amarillo. I went to the one on 45th and they either aren't selling them or hadn't put them up yet.
Here you can get them: http://www.thehotrodcompany.com/index.asp They are H.A.M.B. Alliance Vendor too, so you can make a couple of pennys if you are a member...
I just got mine, too. Loved it. But I wish the inner pages were lighter stock and there were a LOT more pages. Ifn this is an annual, then why not print and bind it like an old Reader's Digest, with as many pages / featured cars as possible between the covers? Gary
Ever try to balance a computer on one knee using your only available hand? Print magazines will always be here. Sam
