Cool. With four carburetors, you can put the carburetors right over the port entrance.
That's the reason that my carburetors are sideways, rather than the normal, front to rear.

How did it work for you ?

It had real good low end torque but top end was lacking. the half size runners on the crossfire I'm sure was part of that. I made the bone head mistake when I started and jetted them down a bunch. Didn't take long to work close back to stock jetting. This setup with a open rear diff would smoke both tires, my single 4 would just fry one but also had the top end over this piece. Engine was a used .060 over TBI 350 with truck heads, I changed the pistons to flat top and added a CC blue print 350/ 350 solid cam with a 4 speed in a 65 4 door chevelle.

Dual coils? Maybe a Grant or Spalding dizzy?

 

I built a single four barrel top in case the dual fours don't make the power I want. I'll put a single four on it and put it on my "street" Stude wagon.

Has someone shot the designer/builder of this...scoop ?
Or at least taken away the use of any computers, drafting boards, straight edges and pencils ?

I think that way about all those fake crappy scoops the only one that looks even fairly good for carbs is the Hilborn style one best thing to do is just step up and put a real injector on it these days carbs aren’t much cheaper than the real thing lol

 

Good, I thought I was the only one who thinks those "Shotgun Bill" scoops are a joke.
