Figured id start a thread that wont get closed about Horne intakes, i just wanted to post some pics and info and if anyone can post any other pics of their Horne intakes pedals etc etc.

i got a rod and custom mag from 1955 with a how too article and an add for the horne intakes in the back, anyone got any other adds for horne?

also attatched are pics of the 4 4 pot intakes he made, hemi, olds, y-block and cadi, i borrowed a couple of the pics from the hamb.

also anyone have a pic of the horne pedal?

and did Mr Jot horne produce any other speeds parts? i know he did blower manifolds but did they have any way to identify them?

and heres a link the the story or Jot in rod and custom, a great read.

I read the rod and custom article also and find it very hard to believe that there were only 100 total manifolds produced. It would be interesting to know how many of them are currently owned by people here. maybe we can get a total on this thread. I will start. I have a cadillac one. ok everyone else lets hear about your horne manifolds

I had a Crager before I got my Horne. I ground off the Crager and had it polished. When I got my Horne I sold the Crager to a guy back east building a Kookie Kar Klone. He was happy as hell to get it.

Had an early Cad no name and I was going to make it into a blower manifold. Then decided to sell it off and wait till a blower manifold comes along.

Didn't Cragar take over Horne right about the time the SBC became popular? I've never seen a Horne intake for a SBC.

Doesn't Evel have a Horne on Live Wire?

I have two of them for an Olds. I also have a Cragar 4 two setup that is obviously the Horne casting. Just to rub it in, I also have the Horne foot pedal. There was a story on Jot Horne in one of the mags recently. I find his name in a lot of my early '50's Hot Rod Magazines racing on the dry lakesin the '40's and early '50's. BTW, the name Cragar came from a compilation of the owner's name, Crane Gartz. Dave Crane

Add one more to the list of Cad manifolds...
It has wedges under the carbs, maybe off of a boat motor, also came with this fancy handle...dazey like the old rocket shaped ice crushers!

I used to have a Horne and a Cragar, but I had to sell them to help pay for my daughters move to Santa Barbra to go to college. Thanks Jeff and Duane.

I don't have a Horne pedal but I have a Fenton one. Oops, my mistake. It's not a Fenton it's a King Bee pedal.
