    Feb 6, 1951. An odd glow over Los Angeles as a Nuclear bomb was exploded in Nevada, 300 miles away!

    Rodeo and Crenshaw 1942. Ever wonder why there are no pristine fenders out there? Look at how close these cars in the foreground are parked together! Also take a look at how people dressed to go shopping in those days...

    this is a much better picture than the first picture they posted earlier. you can really see the glow! must have been creepy and cool at the same time? thanks for posting!

    Holy Moly...I was there when I was 17, in 1968 to see this...what a line-up, and yeah, I drove the Model A panel...:D

    1939 is when it opened...from the looks of that photo, the parking lot and landscaping are not done yet...great shot.
