    WOW !!!!!!
Well it only took seconds for the bidding to sail past my bid of $625,500.00.
Just $50,00.00 shy of 2 million, truly amazing !
Its a good thing the bidding stopped shy of 2 million, because the bidder that bought the Merc, was just about out of money, in his cash box !

Oh hell yea - both buyer AND seller pay a fee.

It’s kinda like spicy chili, you pay for it going in, you pay for it going out.

10 percent for the buyer if they were in person, 12% if they were online.

Considering Wayne Carini is the seller, and the publicity that this car is bringing to Mecum, it wouldn't surprise me if the sellers fee has been waived. Or maybe they even paid him?

The wealth-scale is a difficult thing for most to understand.

$50k shy of $2M sounds like a whole ton of money, but it is all about perspective and context.

Stogy is always a winner - hey, what is the prize that he won besides bragging rights - does his bid count if went over the actual selling price? but, when add in all of the Mecum fees actually went for a lot more

A lot of these cars will be back on the auction block in the next few years…….

I have no beef on how anybody spends their money as after all it’s their money.

    Most won’t be driven.
A lot of them are part of investment portfolios.

But what the heck - entertaining.

All my cars and trucks just went up 100 Grand :D

The Aztec should have gone through again … imagine back to back, I believe would have received Barry’s asking price
