Cowl steering through kick panel. Probably going to do something to 'finish' it here.

Interior being completed Monday/Tuesday and then back to Bob's for final assembly.

Keep it classy....a nice leather,(same) reinforcement, with the same double stitching all the way around.

That looks great! I might have missed it but what's the story in the cowl steering set up?

Custom setup for Hilton Hot Rods. I think Bob contracts someone to machine them for him.

Trunk waiting on carpet which should be going in today/tomorrow. You can see the 36 dash in situ through the rear window.

Yes, not exactly an NSA secret but trying to keep it on the down low until together. Looking forward to showing the car and seeing a lot of HAMBers in Detroit and Austin...and Syracuse, TRJ Revival, Jalopy Jamup, GG Columbus, Jalopy Showdown and more...

Syracuse! Would that be the Nationals? I will be there my plan is to bring my camper and stay for the weekend. I only live half hour away but I'd rather stay there. I can't wait.

Yes, I think an unveiling is in order...I will post something up Sunday.

The engine going into the car Saturday and Bob has a mad dash to get the car together this weekend ahead of next Wednesday when the car has to look its best...

Interior finished and car headed back to Bob today for engine and final assembly. Looks like we will have a 95% complete car in the next 4-5 days.

The leather and carpet is stunning, roof insert too. Mikeyseats did an incredible job. The jewel in the crown, the 322 nailhead is being assembled and dyno'd by @GOATROPER02 over at Ross Racing Engines and will be inserted between the rails this weekend.

I will post the car in resplendent color on Sunday once complete and will be interested in the reaction it provokes. Black, it ain't...

Wow! I cannot get over the polish job on that aluminum. Look at all the fine detail polishing in between the lettering. Even the SIDE of the raised letters. Must have taken at least an hour on EACH LETTER. 80 grit, 150 grit, 220 grit, 400 grit, 600 grit, rough buff, color buff, hand polish. And a month to grow his fingerprints back.

Yup, Tony uses a top notch guy for polishing and I do think it is worth it...although I don't know how long it will stay looking like that! The emphasis right now is on making a solid impression in Detroit.

OK, I guess this is the unveiling...

Tony over at Ross Racing Engines had some wickedly cool filters made up for the SP tops.

Color is Ford Silvertone Grey. Nothing special, a standard Ford color from the late 40s and early 50s. I know it wont be everyone's cup of tea but I think it is bitching and in the sunlight, amazing...less grey and more greeny blue.

Thanks Ryan. We have really tried to get a balance here. Traditional, details, refined but not OTT...
